“How much does old furniture removal cost?” is the first question we are asked – and an honest answer cannot be given as a single number on the phone. Here is what the price is made of, what pushes it up, and what typical jobs cost.
The short answer. Price = labour by the hour + the waste station fee by cubic metre. With two men and a van an hour on a weekday is 84 €, and the station fee for furniture is 31 €/m³. The smallest possible invoice is 84 € – one working hour, when no station fee arises.
Why the price cannot be given straight away
Because two orders with the same list can cost twice as differently. A sofa from the ground floor of a building with a lift is twenty minutes of work. The same sofa from the fourth floor down a narrow stairwell is an hour and two sweaty men.
That is why we ask for photos. A photo of the room tells us more than a long list – we see the quantity, the size and whether things have to be taken apart first.
The two parts of the price
84 €/h, two men and a van
The clock starts when the crew arrives and stops when the last item has been handed over at the waste station. Minimum one hour, then in quarter-hour steps.
31 €/m³ for furniture
We pay it at the station and put it on a separate line of the invoice. Metal, wood, paper and complete appliances cost 0 € – there is nothing to pay for those.
What pushes the price up
| Factor | Effect |
|---|---|
| A high floor without a lift | each floor adds about 15–20 minutes |
| Dismantling – a wall unit, kitchen units | adds 0.5–2 hours |
| Unsorted junk | the station rate becomes 41.30 €/m³ instead of 31 € |
| Saturday | the hour is 102 € instead of 84 € |
| Sunday and public holidays | the hour is 120 € |
| Work after 18:00 | +15%, after 23:00 +30% |
| Outside Tallinn | 1.00–1.60 €/km |
| An item over 80 kg | heavy lifting, from 120 €/h |
What brings the price down
- Sort in advance. Metal, wood and appliances separately – their disposal costs 0 €. That is the biggest saving.
- Take things apart yourself. A dismantled cabinet packs into the van more tightly and saves working time.
- Bring things down if you can. Items moved to the hall or the stairwell speed the job up noticeably.
- Book a weekday. Saturday is a fifth more expensive, Sunday nearly half.
- Gather it all together. One bigger load is cheaper than two smaller ones on different days – the minimum hour applies every time.

Frequently asked questions
What is the cheapest possible invoice?
84 euros – one working hour on a weekday with two men and a van, when no station fee arises. That happens when only metal or complete appliances are taken away.
Is the price fixed or does it change on site?
For a small quantity we give a fixed price and it does not change. For a larger one we give a range, because the final time and volume become clear on site. If there is significantly more than agreed, we discuss it before continuing.
Does the price include VAT?
Yes, all prices shown on the website include VAT.
When do I pay?
A private customer pays right after the work, against the delivery note. With a company we agree the payment in advance, bank transfer included – please send the company details beforehand.
Do you come and look first?
For a larger job yes, at 0 €. For a smaller job photos are enough – that way you get the price faster.
Why is the station fee on your invoice higher than in the station price list?
The station has two prices: 10.30 €/m³ for a Tallinn resident and 31 €/m³ for a company. We hand the waste over as a company. The invoice shows exactly the amount we pay at the station, and we provide the receipt on request.
