How much does heavy lifting cost?
Heavy lifting is priced either by agreement or by the hour. We give the exact price based on photos and a description – send a picture of the item and the stairwell and tell us the floor and whether there is a lift.
- 2 workers, minimum 1 hour
- Prices include VAT and apply in Tallinn and Harju County
- Each floor adds about 50 € on average
- No lift and a spiral staircase affect the price
- For items over ~200 kg a crew of 4 comes
- For a larger job we agree a fixed price
- Anything weighing over 80 kg
- Lifting over 100 kg carries a high risk of injury – hence the higher price
- Removing a cast iron bathtub, for example – 120–150 €
- Lighter items fall under the standard rate
Carrying building materials up to a floor uses as much strength in a couple of hours as a whole day of ordinary moving – which is why this work costs more than ordinary transport.
The standard rate applies Mon–Fri 8–18, Sat 10–18 and Sun 12–18. We work evenings and weekends by agreement: a 15% surcharge applies to work starting from 18:00 and 30% from 23:00. See also the full price list and terms.

Frequently asked questions
Price and payment
How much does heavy lifting cost?
An hour with two workers starts at 120 € (VAT included), minimum 1 hour. For a larger or more complicated job we agree a fixed price. The prices apply in Tallinn and Harju County.
How much does transporting a piano cost?
The price depends on the weight of the instrument, the floor, the lift and the stairs. An upright piano usually weighs 170–450 kg – two men lift a lighter instrument, a heavier one takes four. An hour with two workers starts at 120 € and each floor adds about 50 € on average. Send a photo of the instrument and the stairwell and tell us the floor and whether there is a lift – we will give you the exact price.
How does payment work?
Private customers pay on the spot right after loading and receive the delivery note and the necessary documents. With companies we agree the payment method in advance – usually by bank transfer against an invoice; please send the company details beforehand. After that we take everything to the waste station officially ourselves.
How the work goes and the schedule
How many workers come?
That depends on the weight of the item. Two men lift items up to about 200 kg; for heavier ones (a large upright or grand piano, a safe or an industrial machine, for example) four men come. We confirm the crew and the price once we have seen the photo and the weight.
Do you also lift up spiral staircases?
Yes. We lift up both ordinary and spiral staircases. We use special lifting straps and equipment – our gear lets two men lift what would otherwise take four.
Can you help with the lifting only, without transport?
Yes. We also provide plain muscle and help: moving things around a flat, loading and unloading, and lifting heavy items on site.
How quickly can you come?
We reply to an enquiry within a few hours and usually start within 1–3 days. We work weekends and evenings by prior agreement.
Practical questions
What is heavy lifting?
Heavy lifting means anything from 80 kg upwards – a piano, a safe, a cast iron bathtub, a boiler, a side-by-side fridge or an industrial machine, for example. Lifting over 100 kg carries a high risk of injury, especially to the back and knees, so the price is higher than for ordinary work and the job is done by trained workers with special equipment.
What do you move as heavy lifting?
Pianos, upright and grand pianos, safes, boilers and water heaters, industrial equipment, cast iron and stone bathtubs, heavy fridges and washing machines, large and heavy furniture, and building materials. If needed we also arrange crane lifting – that service comes through a partner.
Do you carry building materials up to the floor?
Yes. We bring plasterboard, mortars, tiles and other materials to the site and carry them up, even without a lift. Such work uses as much strength in a couple of hours as a whole day of ordinary moving, which is why it costs more than ordinary transport.
Do you also carry purchased goods up to the floor?
Yes. If the shop or the courier only delivers to the door, we carry the goods into your flat or office. We offer the whole service: both the transport and carrying it right inside.
Do you also transport outside Harju County, to Tartu or Pärnu for example?
The heavy lifting prices apply in Tallinn and Harju County. Longer trips are possible only by separate agreement – get in touch and we will discuss it.
Do you also work with companies?
Yes, we serve both private customers and companies – offices, shops, warehouses and construction firms. Companies can pay by bank transfer.
Which areas do you work in?
We work in Tallinn and across Harju County, and by agreement outside Harju County as well. In central Tallinn (Kesklinn, Kadriorg, Kristiine, Põhja-Tallinn, Mustamäe and the near ends of Lasnamäe, Nõmme and Pirita) no travel time is added. On the outskirts of Tallinn and in Harju County (e.g. Laagri, Pääsküla, Kakumäe, Viimsi, Tiskre, Peetri) travel time from our base at Mustamäe tee 6b to the site and back is added.
