Lifting service in Tallinn: furniture and materials to your floor

SERVICE 2026

You have bought a sofa, a fridge or a pallet of plasterboard. At best the courier brings it to the front door – and that is where his job ends. We collect it from the shop and carry it up to your floor. No three-hour delivery window and no “maybe it comes, maybe it does not”.

Short answer. We carry furniture, home appliances and building materials from the van or the street into the flat. The price is 36–48 €/h per worker, with a minimum of 1 worker for 2 h or 2 workers for 1.5 h, usually with two or three workers. Single items from 80 kg – a piano, a safe, a cast-iron bath – count as heavy lifting from 120 €/h. We respond quickly, often the same day – and if needed we collect the goods from the shop ourselves.

What we carry up to your floor

FURNITURE FROM THE SHOP

Sofa, corner sofa, wardrobe, bed, mattress, dining table. Assembled or still in its packaging. On request we assemble it right away.

Appliances

Fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, cooker, TV. A shopping-centre delivery usually leaves these at the front door – we take them all the way in.

Building materials

Plasterboard, dry mixes, tiles, parquet, blocks, radiators, water heaters. A pallet of plasterboard weighs 700 kg and it will not walk up by itself.

AND THE OLD ONE DOWN IN THE SAME TRIP

The new one in, the old one out and into the van. You pay for transport once, and the old item goes to the waste station in our name.

No waiting for the courier – we collect it from the shop

A shop delivery gives you a three-hour window and you sit at home and wait. Half a day goes, and sometimes nobody turns up at all. Another time the goods are left at the front door and the rest is your problem.

  • We drive to the shop, collect the order and bring it to you – you do not need to be there until we are at your door.
  • We agree a specific time, not a window. Your time is money, and half a day of waiting costs more than an hour of ours.
  • This works with any shop where an order can be collected with an authorisation or an order number: furniture stores, builders’ merchants, appliance retailers.
  • In the same trip we carry it up, assemble it and take the old item away.

Tell us which shop and which order – we will check when it can be collected and give you a price. Usually it all fits into one or two working hours.

Why people order this from us

  • We respond quickly. Deliveries often arrive unexpectedly, with a “10:00–16:00” window. Call us – if there is a free slot in the schedule, we come the same day.
  • We have a lifting robot. An electric stair climber takes up to 550 kg up the stairs – it moves a safe, a piano or a cast-iron bath without damaging the staircase or you.
  • We do this every day. Moving is our main line of work, so a narrow stairwell, a low threshold and a turn between floors are nothing new to us.
  • We know what fits. From the dimensions we tell you in advance whether the item will go into the lift at all or has to come apart – not once we are already there.
  • One crew for the whole job. We carry it up, assemble it and take the old one away. No need to coordinate three companies.

Weights to reckon with

Item Weight Note
Fridge 60–100 kg tall and rigid, a tight turn is a problem
Washing machine 70–90 kg already close to heavy lifting
Three-seater sofa 60–90 kg will not fit whole through a door under 80 cm
Corner sofa 90–150 kg usually in parts
Wardrobe in packaging 60–120 kg a long package, hard to turn in a stairwell
Mattress 160 × 200 25–45 kg light, but a two-person job
Plasterboard 12.5 mm, 1.2 × 2.6 m approx. 30 kg each will not stand upright in an apartment lift
Dry mix, tile adhesive, cement 25 kg per bag 40–48 bags per pallet, i.e. over a tonne
Ceramic tiles approx. 25 kg per pack carried on edge, not flat
Parquet or laminate approx. 20 kg per pack 20–30 packs per flat
Aerated concrete block approx. 18 kg each about 1 tonne per pallet
Water heater 80–100 l 30–45 kg an old heater full of water is much heavier

Ordinary goods we carry by hand and with a trolley; for heavier items we use the lifting robot, which climbs the stairs by itself. What matters most is the floor, the lift and the width of the stairwell.

Two examples

A new sofa and a fridge, 3rd floor without a lift.

Two workers, 1.5 h × 42 €/h126 €
Old sofa down and into the vanwithin the same hour
Approximate totalapprox. 126 €

Materials for a bathroom renovation, about 900 kg, 4th floor without a lift.

Three workers, 2.5 h × 42 €/h315 €
Old bath and rubble downwithin the same hour
Approximate totalapprox. 315 €

In a building with a lift the same job goes about twice as fast. If you have the waste taken away in the same trip, only the waste station fee is added, based on the actual volume.

Heavy single items: heavy lifting from 80 kg

Item Weight Workers
Upright piano 200–350 kg 3–4
Grand piano 300–500 kg 4, legs removed
Safe up to 550 kg with the lifting robot
Cast-iron bath 80–140 kg 2–3
Stone or concrete worktop 80–200 kg 3, carried on edge
Heat pump outdoor unit 50–80 kg 2
Industrial machine or bench from 100 kg by arrangement

For heavy items we have a lifting robot – an electric stair climber that takes up to 550 kg. That way the job does not depend on manpower alone and the staircase is not damaged. Heavy lifting starts at 120 € per hour with two workers; we give the exact price from photos and dimensions, and for a piano or a safe we always ask for a photo of the stairwell too.

What the price depends on

Floor and lift

The lift makes the biggest difference. Without one, the same load takes twice as long to reach the fourth floor.

WEIGHT AND QUANTITY

A tonne of dry mix means forty trips up the stairs. There are no tricks here – it is time that simply has to be spent.

ACCESS FOR THE VAN

If the van can park at the door, it goes faster. If the goods have to come from a car park or across a yard, that adds time.

TIME OF DAY

On weekdays until 18:00 the standard price applies. After 18:00 there is a 15% surcharge, from 23:00 it is 30%. At weekends a higher hourly rate applies.

What we ask before the job

  1. What the item is and how much of it

The shop order number or the delivery note is enough. From that we know the weight, the dimensions and the number of trips.

  2. The floor and whether there is a lift

If there is a lift, what size it is. A 2.6 m plasterboard sheet and a long wardrobe package will not stand upright in a standard apartment lift.

  3. The width of the doorways

The flat door and the stairwell door. Two numbers tell us whether the sofa goes in whole or has to be taken apart.

  4. When the goods arrive

We come for the delivery time. If the courier is late, the waiting goes on the hourly rate – which is why a fixed time is worth agreeing.

What we do not do

  • We do not use a crane or window hoist. For carrying up stairs we have the lifting robot, which covers up to 550 kg.
  • We do not do installation: we deliver the materials, but tiling, plumbing and electrical work are someone else’s job.
  • We do not connect gas appliances and do not move them while connected.
  • We do not lift an item where the staircase or balcony clearly will not take the weight – we check on site and tell you honestly.

Need goods delivered or carried up to your floor?

We collect from the shop, carry it up and assemble it on request. Send a photo or the order number and tell us the floor – we give you the price and a time straight away.

Frequently asked questions

Can you collect the goods from the shop yourselves?

Yes. We drive to the shop, collect the order with an authorisation or order number, bring it to you and carry it up. That way you do not have to wait at home through a three-hour delivery window.

Will you come just to carry, without a van?

Yes, that is exactly what hiring movers is – 36–48 € per hour per person, minimum 1 worker for 2 h or 2 workers for 1.5 h. There is no need to order a van if the goods are already there.

Can you come the same day?

Often yes. Deliveries come unexpectedly and with wide time windows, so we are used to reacting fast. Call us and we will check the schedule right away.

How many workers are needed?

Two for a sofa or a fridge. For a larger amount of material or a higher floor, three – it goes faster and works out cheaper than two workers for twice the time.

Do you assemble the new furniture as well?

Yes, simpler furniture we assemble in the same visit. Putting together a wardrobe and a bed usually takes 1–3 hours.

Do you take the old item away in the same trip?

Yes, and it makes the most sense. The new one up, the old one down and into the van. The waste station fee is added by volume: bulky waste through us 31 €/m³, construction waste 41.30 €/m³.

Do you issue invoices to companies?

Yes, we also work with construction companies, shops and building sites. Invoice for bank transfer, and regular-customer terms on request.
